Blue Star Marine is a 100% woman owned business. Based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Blue Star Marine has been operating for the six years along the Gulf Coast. We provide an experienced and professional crew for many specialized applications. Blue Star Marine is proud to own the marine vessels M/V Mantis and M/V Tanque. M/V Mantis is a 2009 aluminum catamaran custom designed by Viking Fast Craft and built by GEO Shipyard in New Iberia, Louisiana. Its lightness and streamlined build allows for added speed and efficiency of 30 knots. M/V Tanque is a 48' utility boat refurbished in September 2013. M/V Tanque is equipped with a 2 ton IMT deck crane to support multiple operations, including inland stores, commercial diving, and salvage. Blue Star Marine operates a launch service, providing transportation for crew, surveyors, and stores to offshore and inland vessels in both Calcasieu Pass and Sabine Pass. M/V Mantis is capable of carrying a maximum of 6 passengers and 1100 lbs of cargo. Blue Star Marine also provides commercial divers and survey crew to conduct side-scan sonar surveys for Cameron LNG/Sempra, to maintain instruments for monitoring turbidity, currents, movement, and water temperature, and to provide search and recovery dive services for the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
