The Vane Brothers Company has served the maritime industry in the Port of Baltimore and the U.S. Eastern Seaboard for more than 100 years. Today, we are comprised of five divisions operating out of the ports of New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk, and Charleston. Since establishing a ship chandlery in 1898, Vane Brothers has always exemplified a commitment to quality and excellence. While the chandlery no longer exists, it has been replaced by a fleet of 30 tugs and 45 barges ready to meet the ever-changing challenges of the maritime industry. Over the years, the Vane Brothers Company has worked to set the standard of excellence in the maritime industry with our state-of-the art equipment, seasoned crews and a commitment to safety. When Captain William Burke Vane first came ashore in 1898, he sought to find a better way to serve sailors. By continuously reinventing the company, Vane Brothers has thrived in an ever-changing industry while retaining the spirit of a small family business.
